Patricia Cornwell
It’s always a privilege to work with someone whose work you’ve admired for years, so when the opportunity arose to collaborate with Patricia Cornwell, we jumped at the chance. Having followed the Scarpetta series since Postmortem, it was a genuine honour to be involved in the campaign for Ripper.
This was a deeply personal project for Patricia, and she had a very clear vision for how she wanted the campaign to look and feel. Working from artwork supplied by the publisher, Amazon, we developed a bold and striking billboard campaign centred around a simple but powerful concept: Patricia standing back-to-back with the man she believed to be Jack the Ripper.
The strength of the campaign lay in its simplicity. The imagery was arresting, the message clear, and the scale of the rollout ensured it made a real impact. It was especially rewarding to know the work would be seen in iconic locations including Times Square in New York and prominent sites across Los Angeles.
Following the success of the US campaign, we adapted the creative for a major UK rollout, with placements across London’s mainline stations and the London Gateway. Seeing the campaign come to life at such scale was immensely satisfying and a fitting way to support the launch of a fascinating and highly personal book.
